Unlocked Graduates – Full-service partnership with a leading graduate scheme

Unlocked Graduates is working to break cycles of reoffending by identifying brilliant people and supporting them to spend two years working as frontline prison officers.


We’ve worked with Unlocked on various projects, from the roll out of a refined visual identity to the development of a new website. We’ve also supported them with their broader online strategy including digital marketing, measurement and reporting.

A long standing partnership

We have been involved with Unlocked since 2018, when they approached us to help them craft a new website and expand their brand to better communicate their mission.

Since then, we’ve collaborated on various projects to enhance their online presence, refine their identity and build their digital infrastructure.

Standing out in a competitive sector

Unlocked is an organisation that operates in a competitive environment, so it was vital that their new website presents prospective candidates with an engaging and inspiring offer and provides a frictionless application process.

We worked with them to continuously improve in this area through integrations with Salesforce and Zoom. Prospective applicant data is automatically collected and tasks such as booking immersion days with photo IDs have been automated.

This work has supported their work around impact and evaluation too. For example, statistical analysis can now be performed to find which application questions best predict successful candidates.

Support across print and digital platforms

We’ve also supported Unlocked’s digital strategy, including by carrying out a full search engine optimisation review and by helping them to take advantage of a Google Ad Grant. We also helped them develop a new reporting framework to visualise application funnels and benchmark key performance indicators using Google Analytics, Supermetrics and Looker Studio. We’ve also worked with them on various print projects, ranging from event exhibits to document templates.

Through our ongoing collaboration we’ve been able to help streamline Unlocked’s operations, expand their visual identity, and provide a more seamless experience for prospective applicants. We’re looking forward to seeing where this partnership takes us next.

Bureau worked with us on a project integrating an animated situational judgement test with our applicant tracking system in Salesforce. Considering the complexity of this, the team made it stress-free, coming up with effective solutions to streamline and automate the process so that we could select the very best candidates.
