Think Ahead – Brand update and website to support recruitment in mental health sector
Think Ahead is a programme offering a new route into mental health social work for graduates and career-changers.
After initially working with Think Ahead on an extensive brand update, we applied the boldness and dynamism of the visual identity to a new website and other online channels and provided ongoing support on their wider digital strategy.
Visual identity refresh
Think Ahead initially engaged us on a full refresh and overhaul of their visual identity, including a refinement of the logo to enable better legibility and introduce more flexibility.
We applied this across a range of applications including internal documents, external templates, and email. We developed a new icon library and codified everything in an extensive guideline document.
A distinctive new website
Following this, we were asked to apply the brand to Think Ahead’s new website. They operate in the competitive graduate recruitment sector, so needed a bold and distinctive design to help them stand out.
They were largely happy with the structure of their previous website, so the focus was on redesigning templates, developing a more user-friendly publishing interface and rolling out a new illustrative style.
A carefully designed application journey
The ‘About the programme’ section provides a carefully crafted narrative journey for the user. It persuades them of the importance of focusing on mental health, the role that mental health social work can play, the kind of person that is suitable for the role and how the programme works.
It includes a number of interactive elements such as a suitability quiz and an eligibility criteria checker. Throughout the application journey there is prominent signposting into an online application form that integrates with their Salesforce CRM.
Wider digital strategy
We were also commissioned to support Think Ahead with their wider digital strategy, including the setup and management of their new Google Ad grant and reporting approach.
We worked closely with key members of the team to identify a range of suitable performance measures across all of their channels (website, digital marketing channels & social media) and developed a real time reporting system using Google Analytics, Supermetrics and Looker Studio.
